Tteokbokki is one of the most popular and highly appreciated street
foods/snacks in Korea and is typically based on gochujang (chili paste).
The tteok (rice cake) used in tteokbokki is finger sized.
There is also a soy sauce based tteokbokki called the
gungjung-tteokbokki (royal court tteokbokki).
This beloved dish can be made with various ingredients, but the classic street tteokbokki is made with just tteok ( tteokbokki rice cake), eomuk (fish cake), and scallions.
